Internationally acclaimed designer Abigail Ahern is launching her first own-label collection for Spring/Summer 2015 at Maison & Objet Paris.
With over 100 pieces in the collection, Abigail Ahern SS15 is a definitive statement of Abigail’s inimitable style, encompassing furniture, lighting, accessories, textiles, art, sculpture and her famous faux plants.
Abigail Ahern has established herself as one of the most influential tastemakers in interiors, and describes her latest venture as “Channeling a little Johnny Cash country style, mixed in with a bit of cowboy and a hefty splash of glamour”.
The result is a truly unique and exciting collection. Rustic vases appear to have been formed from molten rock, upcycled saloon style tankards. Beautiful materials inform Abigail’s designs, from the “Wild Bill” sofa, upholstered in luxuriously thick woolen carpet, to glamorous leather club chairs, and charming sidetables crafted from iron, marble and hammered metal.
On her inspiration for the collection, Abigail says, “The collection is very much inspired by the honesty of the handmade, so texture abounds and the rawness of the artisan is reflected throughout the pieces. For Spring/Summer I wanted to take a heady mix of travel and adventure, with a pinch of tongue-in-cheek humour mixed in. Hues are desert-inspired, with a soothing colour palette of rich browns, ochres, and saturated yellows, and dusky greens peppered with some stand-out brights.”
The collection is completed by amazing new additions to Abigail’s world-famous faux plants. Exuberantly oversized cactus make a bold statement, alongside beautiful succulents, desert blooms and grasses.
We're excited to announce that the own-label Abigail Ahern collection is now available at Selfridges. A selection of furniture, vases, accessories and faux plants and botanicals are for sale in Selfridges' Oxford Street flagship store, and online at selfridges.com.
Abigail Ahern teams up with Heal’s to launch London’s first “faux florist”. Abigail Ahern Flowers launches at Heal’s Tottenham Court Road flagship store on 23rd September.
