Can’t believe how quickly the days are zooming past to the big day. I’m in this weird twilight zone thinking all things summer and with the weather so unseasonably warm it feels rather like it. We shot all our spring botanicals last week and I’m in the midst of writing spring summer captions. During the hols G and I are attempting to revamp some rooms up top for the next part of our shoot, no rest for the wicked hey.
HQ shuts today (we all all back on the 4th) although G and I are working right up to it as we have a crazy Jan. Upper Street closes on Christmas Eve around 4pm as and takes a little break (re-opens on the 2nd). Our faux florist at Heals re-opens on the 27th December – no rest for some!
Without further ado and last in my favourite rooms round-up, here’s the room that I probably spend most time in (regrettably!), the home office. Having said that I do love my studio, it’s painted in noir-ish Hudson Black, hung with uber glam chandeliers, stacks of books, plus marble tables and little cosy break-out nooks dotted about the place. I need a space where I’m happy, comfortable, invigorated and inspired. Drab offices won’t cut it! Yes it’s functional, as it’s got to work for me and all the AA HQ team too, but since when did functionality trump glamour? Since never.
Luckily there’s tons of inspiration for workspaces that do manage to nail glam, inspiring and stylish. These are the coolest offices, home studies and little desk nooks even that I’ve spotted this year. Hope you enjoy as a bit of procrastination! Hey it’s nearly the holidays, and gathering inspiration for workspaces is almost the same as working, right? That’s what I’m sticking to anyway. Happy Tuesday everybody.
