Hugest biggest thank you to everyone who came to our Abigail Ahern Flowers launch at Heal’s last night and for all the zillions of amazing comments about our new faux florist. You can see images of the space on my insta feed, and I’ll have a few more up on the blog later. I was blown away (we all are) by the reaction and the sales. We are restocking later today as now there are flower baskets left right and centre, we didn’t actually expect to sell out of some lines – incredible. We are so excited about being in the heart of the West End and to be part of Heal’s – I should tell you that they have the coolest café on the first floor – it’s kind of becoming my second studio!
I’m considering getting through this absolutely manic week with a bit of retail therapy too. Not that I actually have the time to shop at the mo, but I can dream hey! Here are a few of my favourite stores around the world, not all of them interiors mind.
An amazing space carved out of an old tie factory in Milan, the Rosanna Orlandi “spazio” defies labels. Part gallery, part concept store, with a showroom, office space, courtyard restaurant and events venue too. You could lose all day here, just soaking up the amazing ambience and exploring Rosanna’s fantastic treasure trove of finds. rossanaorlandi.com
The perfect fix for chocolate junkies. Mast Brothers was founded in NYC, and as well as their two Brooklyn stores they’re now in Shoreditch too. Great news for me (or not, seeing as I’ll only give in to temptation!). Apart from some of the most delish chocolate in great flavour combos (black truffle and sea salt, anyone?), you can also enjoy the coolest design, sup drinks in their café bar or tour behind the scenes of their chocolate factory. mastbrothers.com
I must have mentioned it a zillion times on the blog before, but Merci is probably my all-time favourite store in the world. For a start the VM is out of this world. The way they display everything from umbrellas to their toiletries (check the picture!) is jaw on the floor brilliant and creative. Plus it’s the most beautiful building, with a restaurant, cinema club, restaurant and used book café in which you can while away the hours. Bliss. merci-merci.com
ABC Home is a total design haven, and a godsend for all the top stylists in the biz like Kim Ficaro. From the most exquisite authentic vintage leather armchairs to hand-dyed silk rugs and now clothing and jewellery too, it’s a must-see anytime you’re in NYC. abchome.com
