PERFECT IMPERFECT

One of my favourite things we’ve introduced to the new store are books and magazines, including Perfect Imperfect which is a must-read for me.

This beautiful inspirational book penned by Karen McCartney explores the work studios and homes of international and Australian creatives. Beautifully shot and styled by Sharyn Cairns and Glen Proebstel it takes as its founding principles the Japanese concept of wabi-sabi. Imperfection is celebrated as is the handmade and the curated. It requires you sitting down and studying these images preferably with a glass of something in hand. It’s not a quick flick you’ll want to pour into the images and get to know more about these creatives and learn from their unorthodox arrangements. It’s truly beautiful and should sit on everyone’s bedside table. I am constantly dipping in and out for inspiration.

You can also win a copy by heading to Twitter, thank to Christy Home. I told them this was one of my favourite reads, so now they’re giving them away with their #feelslikehome competition! Just RT for your chance to win:
