I LOVE this space. The Conran design duo, Terence and Vicki Conran turned a former Victorian printing warehouse into a not-so-secret rooftop bar in Shoreditch. It is also a hotel with super-comfy rooms that demands all interior design lovers to take a sneak peek!
Nestled on the corner of Boundary Street and Red Church Street, near some of my favourite shops such as Sunspel, A.P.C, and Kit & Ace – it is a great place to have up your sleeve for a drink after a shopping spree. Conran describes it as a‘restaurant, rooms and rooftop’. Despite being in a busy part of Shoreditch the rooftop flies high above the metropolis with botanicals hanging off the roof, citrus trees in cosy corners, festoon lighting and comfy seating all framed by wild flower beds. PLUS! In the loo’s they have my favourite Aesop soap and hand cream – love it.
There are 12 bedrooms in the hotel, all of which are decorated different. It feels like a cross between Bauhaus or Young British Designers – all harking back to Sir Terence Conran. Beware of the queues though, it can get a tad busy when the weather heats up.
