I loveeee spring. I’m over winter and now I’m so excited about the lighter evenings where I can potter in the garden and plant and feel like the days last forever. To get me in the mood I need to springify (definitely a word!) my whole pad. If you’re on instagram you’ll see that I switched out wintry foliage for new spiraea fauxs this weekend. These are so lush and bouncy and joyously springy! The spiraea are dotted all round the place now – mantles, dining table, in front of mirrors, by the kitchen sink… it’s all getting me in a springtime mood! Here’s the next stages of my plan to springify:
Change up the textiles
A quick way to inject some freshness into a room is a change around of the textiles. All the soft merino ones that I have plopped on the bed can be replaced with lighter fabrics – as can my heavy winter bedspread. Although every time I take it off the bed looks bare so on it goes again but I keep thinking the round caramel-y toned sheepskin cushions will look beautiful with my Crosby paint colour.
