We’re moving! Not me personally… although speaking of, I was headhunted recently to be VP of an amazing luxury brand on the West Coast of America. Very excited and flattered, but having to up sticks and move Stateside would mean giving up all of this. Tough decision to ponder but there’s no way I could leave, as I feel things are changing big time for us right now.

So although I’m definitely staying put, one of these bigger, better things is that we’re relocating to a new flagship store in May. We’re staying in the Islington area but will be taking over a much larger space. I’m totally giddy about it, as it means I can up the botanicals, rugs and furniture, introduce new lines and create more of a concept store. Many exciting ideas bouncing backwards and forwards at AA HQ, so stay tuned!

I will however be sad to leave my lovely Upper Street store. I will forever love it as it basically launched my career. It’s in the perfect little stretch, rubbing shoulders with some great neighbouring stores (next to Whistles, opposite Ottolenghi), gets a ton of foot traffic and even celebs stopping in. I’ve gotten book deals because of it, licensing deals as a result of it and incredible support from the press and customers. It has been part of my life for so long I can’t quite imagine leaving, but there you are. We have outgrown it now, but it really is the most wonderful space. There’s no ducking out now, because our Upper Street shop is officially up for rent (you can check it out here, if you happen to be interested in taking over the space!).

I know it’s the right time to make the leap and push things even further on the retail side. This is part of many amazing things that are coming up with our brand. I hate to be all mysterious on you, but I can’t reveal details just yet… expect lots of new exciting announcements in the next few weeks and months. I’ll keep you guys up to date on everything – the end of an era, our new space, the shop fit and makeover – oh, and no doubt a closing down sale too when the time comes!
