Abigail Ahern Flowers

14, September, 2015

Internationally acclaimed designer Abigail Ahern has teamed up with Heal’s to bring London’s first entirely “faux florist” to the heart of the West End. A stand-alone store within the Heal’s Tottenham Court Road flagship store, Abigail Ahern Flowers will be dedicated entirely to Abigail Ahern faux plants and flowers.

Abigail Ahern Flowers will stock the complete range of Abigail Ahern faux flowers and plants, from the cacti that have been the biggest trend of the summer, to beautiful hand-tied bouquets in bespoke seasonal arrangements. The shop will have a dedicated team of florists, run under the expertise and discerning eye of Gemma Ahern. Abigail’s sister and business-partner, Gemma is a sought-after professional florist who has previously worked with everyone from Jane Packer to Wild at Heart.

On the faux florist concept, Abigail says: “Faux flowers and botanicals have always been our biggest sellers, so with this in mind we’ve decided to take a fresh new approach to fauxs. Our fauxs deserve the same love, attention and expertise as cut flowers, and we want to deliver the most fantastic customer experience at our new florist in Heal’s.”

Abigail Ahern has supplied faux flowers to restaurants, events and fashion houses and magazines such as Tatler, as well as private clients from the A-list to the Vatican. A discerning eye, highest-quality and a tightly edited collection in a beautiful colour palette have always set Abigail Ahern fauxs apart. For AW15, Abigail has produced her first own-label collection of faux flowers, which will debuted at Abigail Ahern Flowers.

On her new collection, Abigail says: “We’ve designed our own faux collection for the first time, and they’re the next level in stunning artificial flowers. The blooms evoke that wild, untamed English country garden vibe, with whimsical hydrangeas, amazing real-touch peonies, roses, blossom, and ferns and foliage such as evergreen sprigs and gorgeous trailing catkins.
We love to take things that people are often snooty about in interiors and turn them into something cool, luxurious and seriously desirable. Faux flowers are our forte!”

Tyrone Joseph, Home Accessories Buyer at Heal’s says: “We anticipate a great buzz around Abigail Ahern Flowers at Heal’s. A faux florist is exactly what our bustling Tottenham Court Road flagship needs. We love Abigail’s passion and her exquisite collection of faux flowers shares our vision of good design, well-made. We look forward to a very exciting and long lasting collaboration.”

On her collaboration with Heal’s, Abigail says” “I’m incredibly excited to be working with Heal’s, who have always championed the best of British design talent. We both enjoy pushing boundaries of design and pioneering new trends, so Heal’s seemed a natural fit and the perfect place to debut our faux florist.”

Abigail Ahern at Heal’s will be opening at Heal’s Tottenham Court Road store on 23rd September, during Heal’s annual London Design Festival Customer Party (18:00 – 21:00). As well as the Abigail Ahern at Heal’s launch, the LDF party will include hands-on workshops, in-store DJs, and bars and cocktails from Aspall’s, Cointreau and Sipsmith to get the party going.
