Wattle.

Travel Inspo. Ibizan Finca.

Wattle is one of AA's mid tone colours - at the lighter end as it's almost a neutral but not quite as it has incredible depth. Such a calming shade and super soothing, perfect for creating serene and grounding interiors. It’s the softest of colours and pairs incredibly well with both darker and lighter hues. For stunning contrast add accessories crafted from natural materials in off blacks, seaweed greens and browns.

Abi's Tip

If you gravitate towards a hue, swatch the biggest piece of wall you can and examine. How does the shadow fall upon the colour? what does it look like when direct light hits? that is the only way you will ever get a sense of how the colour will look. Also when you swatch out an area, always, repeat always, paint it out twice. One coat will not give you a proper indication of what the colour looks like.

Drizzle.

Travel Inspo. Desert Plains.

Drizzle is a gentle soft brown hue with the subtlest of undertones. It's an incredible versatile colour, both nurturing and familiar, soft, earthy and muted. Perfect for living rooms as it will sit quietly in the background allowing your textures and accessories to do the talking. Cosy and also timeless, this palette in combination with some of our darker hues like Smudge, Hudson Black and Madison Grey takes rooms to a whole other level. Accesorise this colour with smoky pink, charcoal and deep browns for amazing contrast.

Terrain.

Travel Inspo. Australian Salt Lakes.

Terrain is a warm pinkish hue is deep and nurturing. It's extremely welcoming which makes spaces feel super soft and relaxed and it works with all of our other colours so beautifully.

It's one of AA's darker tones but at the lighter end of the darks as its warm, grounding and all encompassing.  This colour works well with other pinky tones, caramels and dark browns.

Final Thoughts.

Choose a hue that feels beautiful and inspiring, and true to what you love. A home should be an extension of your personality, so go with your gut, ignore trends and always decorate from the heart.
