HOUSE CRUSH: WILD AT HEART

About 8 years ago when I was working on my first book Girl’s Guide to Decorating (can’t believe it’s been that long, but it has!) I got to snoop around Nikki Tibbles’ house. Nikki is the head honcho behind Wild at Heart flowers – she’s got a great eye for colour and it’s obvious in her home too. This is not a shrinking violet kind of pad, bold prints are everywhere (mostly florals of course), cool textiles, animal accessories, artworks and Nikki’s ceramic collection that she’s built up over the years. I was intrigued to see since that Nikki’s pad is now up for sale, so I got to nosey at all the latest photos of her place. I thought it would be interesting to show you guys how her 2008 decor compares to 2016. There have been major changes I believe, ripping out her old kitchen completely and relocating it, and going through a kaleidoscope of different colours and wallpapers. Have a look at her style evolution above and let me know what you think.

The photos in my book were shot by my wonderful photographer and bud Graham Atkins-Hughes – the rest of the pictures are from Domus Nova, where you can take a snoop round the whole house if you fancy. Or even buy it I guess if you’re very lucky!
