How to Measure Your Sofa
Will It Fit?
Avoid any delivery day disasters by making sure your sofa will fit in your home. As well as making sure your dream couch fits in the room, measure all hallways and doorways that your sofa will have to fit through on the journey to its destination. Read our sofa measuring guide before you add to cart.
Psst. This is just a guide, sofa measurements can vary a little from the product dimensions.
Step 1: Note Down The Dimensions
These can be found on the product page under 'measurements and more info'
Step 2: Assess your chosen location
Pick the perfect place for your chosen sofa. Try using masking tape, newspaper or even cardboard boxes to map out the dimensions of the sofa you love. then trace the journey from a vehicle parking location to that spot in your house.
Step 3: Taking Your Measurements
Follow the measuring tips below to make sure your sofa can reach it's destination without any scuffs or scratches.
Doorways
Ensure that the width of your front door and subsequent internal doors (A)is greater than the height of your sofa (H). Check for obstructions that stop your doors from opening fully, and ensure you measure the narrowest point.
If your door is too narrow, measure the height of your doorframe. If this measurement is greater than the width of the sofa, it may still fit by putting the sofa on its end.
Hallways
Measure the width of your hallway and internal doors at their narrowest points to ensure these are greater than the height of the sofa.
Stairs
Measure the width of your stairs at their narrowest point. If this measurement is greater than the sofa height it should fit. If you have a landing, ensure (G), (I) & (J) exceed the width, height and depth of your sofa.
