This weekend’s dose of house inspiration comes from this little jewelbox apartment in Berlin. It’s been designed by the uber talented Peter Fehrentz, who is another convert to the dark side. I’m obsessed with his clever colour combo’s, pops of green foliage against glossy black tiles, teal paired with mustard, inky blues, greys and gold – the lot!
The whole apartment is dripping with a bold, cool approach to decorating and quirky tongue-in-cheek humour. There’s so much to tantalise and intrigue the eye in every space from inky moody artwork and painted cabinets, to bespoke upholstered sofa headboards (definitely a top tip! Why just keep them for beds?). Peter’s pad is also a bit of a safari, with birds, dogs and gorillas popping up all over the place.
For me the most droolworthy room has to be that kitchen though, with the deep, chalky black backdrop up against sleek tiles, dark wood and all topped off with a big dramatic jolt of pink. Love!
