December
Hosting season is just around the corner and after all the bonkers biz travels throughout 2025 it's now time for me to look forward to taking some out, cosifying my pad and cooking up some lovely feasts for friends and family.
Hello December
How can it be December already? Such a special season I just want everything to slow down. I've just about figured out the Christmas menu (see below),
Planning on finishing a little earlier this year from work with some Christmas markets on the agenda like Wick Wonderland a riverside Christmas market in Hackney Wick, strolls along the south bank to Gordon's Wine Bar and walks through the Royal Parks like St James's which I love. I worked out Graham and I have only taken one day off this year which is seriously bad - I think the crazy travel schedule messed things up a bit. Launching a biz in the States has been so full on but one of the most incredible things we have done to date.
Talking of travel by the time December ends a whole month will have passed with me not being on a long haul flight , yay hay. Once early Jan rolls round it all begins again.
Dallas, Atlanta, Vegas, and NYC all back and forth from in January - so full on!
Exciting but I wouldn't have it any other way.
Before I go I just want to express my extreme gratitude for all your support, lovely comments and general encouragement. This business wouldn't be anything without you guys so the hugest of thank yous and wishing you and your family the happiest holiday season.
Happy December

Christmas At Mine
Festive Feasting
I've just about figured out the Christmas menu - from polenta and parmesan crusted potatoes with rosemary salt to a spiced apple harissa to dot over roasted butternut squash on the veggie front. Then there's fillet of beef (a roast chicken for the children) followed up with some ginger cake, mince pies and cheeses from Neil's Yard Dairy.I've popped some of them below in case you're inspired to try them too.
Festive Flourishes
The house will be simply decorated as it is every year. A real fir tree inside and out with a subtle sparkle and warm fairly lights. I picked up some super large branches from the flower market which I've suspended baubles from inside and it looks sooooo lovely. I've stocked up on candles, tealights and some seriously cool tableware and find such joy in the simplicity of the season. Coming down early in the morning with the scent of fir trees perfuming the air, snuggling in front of the fire in cosy blankets and slippers (obsessed with Fit Flops Curly Shearling ones by the way)! It's the small touches that feel so special. Before the big day I seek out the quiet magic of this season by strolling around in the garden pre-dawn with a coffee with no one awake, sweeping up the warm embers from the fire the night before and the sensory details of clementines my favourite winter fruit.
