July is the craziest month for team AA. Gem and I have so much travel as we unveil all our new collections in the States which mean trips to Atlanta, Vegas, NYC, and meetings in LA and Tampa it’s a little bonkers. At the same time we are shooting AW so mentally I don’t know where I am. Wrapped up in big woolly jumpers and roaring fires for the shoot, or in downtown LA with soaring temps for meetings on our fauxs. Read on for a whole heap of inspo from colours, to art, locations and hotels.

Let's start off with colours! As you probably know I am very much inspired by the great outdoors. Everything I do is rooted and grounded by the landscape from the botanicals we design to the products we produce. I think when you reflect the natural beauty of the earth you can never go wrong. 

With our art collection (think huge canvases) we wanted warm browns, soft greens and milks to be present in these decorative pieces along with depth, texture and tone. Whether you live uptown, downtown on the coast or in the country whether your style is traditional or a little more modern, glamourous or more laidback this collection has been intentionally curated to work with any abode. So it is with the greatest pleasure that I introduce these wonderful pieces of art. Do let me know what you think. I’ve popped them all over my pad.  

This season I choose a location to shoot our autumn collection that literally emulates our products so well. With its elegant vibe, clever use of materiality and timeless aesthetic it’s looking so beautiful! Selecting locations is really hard the choices aren’t great for us. Everything is a little similar when it comes to location houses and so generic which I get as it works with any style but it's tough for us to find amazing ones. This one was.

Here is a little behind the scenes sneak peak of our shoot. Coming your way in the cooler months expect beautiful rounded coffee tables, highly glazed ceramics and texture overload when it comes to cushions, throws, rugs and furniture. Cannot wait! 

I get to stay is some seriously beautiful hotels Stateside which always inspire me and fire up new ideas from the Forth Hotel in Atlanta to the Proper Hotel in Santa Monica. Both these hotels are so much more than places to stay. They are where design meets vitality and well-being. They instantly elevate your spirits when you walk through the door. The thing I love most about travel is how it invites connection and fires up creative energy, stepping away from the desk literally expands my horizons. As full on as these trips are they always deepen my appreciation for thoughtful design. They broaden my palette, inspire me to do better and stir up all sorts of ideas!

I leave with you with some of my favourite ‘add to cart’ immediately pieces. Can’t promise how long they will be around as these sculptures are selling like hot cakes. I wanted to produce museum worthy finds – they emulate stone, marble and metal but aren’t and as a result are so much more affordable. From the coffee table to the shelf from the console to the dresser these beautiful accessories elevate the everyday like nothing else I know!
