February Musings

We love to share what we've been up to, travel, stories, recipes, wellness and of course some interior snippets and inspiration. Welcome to our first edition of monthly musings, a journal we will be updating for each month and throughout the year to hopefully inspire and document all of our latest goings on. This month, a fresh start to the new year with some exciting travel, product launches, and plans for a store revamp.

❝ So many things have inspired me this month. From a whistle stop trip to New York where we launched our SS24 collection, to a dash to Chicago for a meeting, it has been one of my busiest months yet. Not forgetting the jet lag, early mornings in hotel lobbies waiting for the coffee bar to open, unfortunately a regular thing, hello 4am!

Newness at AA

New pieces are landing on site every week, have you seen our new Portable Lamps, with no wires? You can literally plonk them in the middle of your dining table and get the softest glow, not to mention our new season botanicals, our most textural yet. We are shooting like crazy, signing off AW24 and working on SS25!

Reading

Amongst all the busyness there is still the need to slow down and connect to the season. I just bought the Year of the Locust by Terry Hayes which I plan to dip into, plus I have a stash of magazines to delve through all whilst putting on a relaxing soundtrack and lighting some woodsy incense. I love how scent connects you to the season.

Cooking

I’m really obsessed with cooking outside on the bbq at weekends before the daylight fades. A fab recipe from my all time favourite cookbook, BerberQ is a cauliflower shawarma and its sooooo good, especially when cooked on the Big Green Egg. I've linked the recipe below.

Wardrobe Wishlist

I know spring is just around the corner and I should be thinking about lighter fabrics when it comes to my wardrobe, but I’ve been coveting some super textural pieces from Farfetch, from a gorgeous Etro coat to some of the coolest trainers on the planet by Lanvin. Next month I’ll be welcoming spring into my wardrobe I promise(ish)!

In Store

I’m in the throws of planning a store refresh, with the new season just around the corner, it's time to juggle things around and get out all of our newness. So exciting.

At Home

The garden is beginning to wake up, so to take my garden to another level I’ve just ordered Piet Oudolf's book: At Work, my favourite garden designer. Warning, you’ll literally be transported to the most dreamlike meadowscape on the planet!

Happy February.

Need more Inspo? - we think you'll love these.
