How to Make Getting Dressed the Most Enjoyable Part of Your Day

2 MINUTE READ

Abi's turned one of her spare bedrooms into a fashion sanctuary.

From previously having a little dark annex in the alcoves either side of the fireplace in her primary bedroom she took the plunge and turned her spare room into the most gorgeous closet.

1. Choose an earthy hue for the walls for added sophistication

Not only does this echo the aesthetic throughout AA’s whole property, going earthy makes small rooms appear larger especially when you paint the ceiling and woodwork all the same colour.

2. Ditch the doors

AA went for a custom rail system from Regal Raum called CLOS-IT W-354.
You can also buy non custom, they come in classic colours which co-ordinates with any décor style. Game changing!

3. Get onboard with colour coding

Grouping clothes by colour is not only super simple it's more appealing to the eye making everything feel more harmonious.

4. Glam it up

Bring in a few glamourous elements to make your closet feel more luxe. From beautiful table lamps, benches to little side tables displaying your fav pieces will add so much more style to your space.

5. Add accent lighting

Go beyond functional lighting, and pepper in statement pieces like soft glow lamps and chandeliers. This will transform your space into a luxurious haven.

6. Lay down a rug

Something neutral that doesn’t distract from the clothes and overshadows.  It’s a great way to spruce up the closet.

7. Seating in your closet is a game changer

It’s also the perfect spot for putting on shoes, folding laundry and propping your suitcase on while you pack.
