INTRODUCING
Tabby Booth For Abigail Ahern
This season we unveil an exclusive new collection in collaboration with the artist, illustrator and curator, Tabby Booth. Created in her studio in Cornwall, this special capsule collection, available only at Abigail Ahern online, explores Tabby's signature monochrome silhouettes with their dark, primitive, folk-art vibe.
Having been a fan of Tabby's work for many years, we are so excited to introduce Out West: Twelve original paintings creatively conjured from an imagined American West. Think cowboys and cowgirls, cattle and dogs, birds, bourbon and bones.
Read on to discover the inspiration behind these exceptional one-of-a-kind art pieces.
"What draws me to Tabby's art is the intriguing character each painting holds. Full of texture, complemented by these stunning antique frames, they are something you would treasure forever and pass down. I love them."

A Meeting of creative minds
Unique Art For a Soulful Home
Packed full of intrigue and personality, each artwork connects to a shared design philosophy. From paint dabbed directly onto antique wooden bowls sourced over time, to esoteric subject matter plucked straight from a grim fairytale, Tabby's art feels like a special and natural extension of our own visual language. With a shared love of nature, rustic materials, deep tones and art that adds a narrative - Out West is a meeting of creative minds that love soulful interiors.

Introducing Tabby
Tabby studied Illustration at Central Saint Martins and co-founded Sailors Jail Gallery in Falmouth with her husband, artist James Heslip. Her Cornish studio with its beautiful view is a constant source of inspiration for Tabby, whose work heavily features animals, nature and mystical creatures.
A fascination with folk and outsider art, combined with a passion for interiors, results in bold yet playful imagery, designed, as Tabby says, for the walls of bold, playful people.
Behind The Collection
Inspired by the AA Aesthetic, Out West explores a kind of domestic western: a dark and dusty world of cowboys and cowgirls, dogs, horses and birds, bourbon bottles, old skulls and all the characters and creatures that inhabit it.
"I love the mythology and romance of the American West, but I wanted these paintings to have a warmth and familiarity to them too. They’re a little wild and strange, but still feel intimate and lived-in, like glimpses into a familiar world." - Tabby
Tabby creates striking, richly textured compositions by layering paint and wax onto wood and carving intricate details. Every piece is uniquely tailored to a carefully sourced vintage frame or wooden trough, which adds a sense history and oodles of character to each creation.
Perfectly showcasing Tabby’s blend of contemporary artistry with a sense of warmth, character and quiet nostalgia, the collection sits at the crossroads between modernity and tradition - much like our own.

The Art Of Display
The bold monochrome silhouettes of this intriguing collection adds an unexpected focal point that brings any room to life.
Displayed on a wall within a gathered curation of other art or hung solely as the main feature, the primitive charm of these pieces adds a creative richness. A stand out talking point against light or mid tone colour walls, or instantly adding a powerful cinematic warmth against saturated dark tones.
These unique dramatic artworks also work well propped on a well curated shelf or console. Paired with sculptural table lamps, atmospheric candlelight, abstract sculpture and naturalistic botanicals, they give the room a characterful narrative, an evocative visual story.
