High fashion homes

The fash pack came to town this week for London Fashion Week. The last day was yesterday – it’s all packed up and moved on to Milan now. I thought in honour of fashion week we should all take a peek inside some very fashionable pads around the globe. I love lifting the lid on the homes of creatives, as they’re more often than not going to tantalise and dazzle with something unexpected, cool and truly individual. This is true I find regardless of their field – from artists and musicians to florists or fashion designers. They all think a little differently and fashion designers in particular know how to create spectacle and put on a good show: interiors included. Also, it’s always good to get your recommend daily dose of glamour!

Enjoy the slideshow pics above. It’s a truly globe-trotting collection – Christian Louboutin’s hidey-hole in Egypt and Diane Von Furstenburg’s unashamedly glam girly Manhattan penthouse to Manolo Blahnik’s gloriously eccentric Brit townhouse in Bath. Some of my old favourites are in here too, like Reed Krakoff’s home office and Ralph Lauren’s amazing Colorado ranch. I should say that a lot of the pictures come from a fabulous coffee table book, Beyond Chic by Ivan Terestchenko. I can’t get enough of it! If you want to see more fashion homes, there’s tons on the blog: how about Nanette Lepore’s amazing jaw-on-the-floor home, jewellery designer Solange Auzury-Partridge’s eye popping colour, everything Jenna Lyons (I’m obsessed with everything she does) or the time that Kate Moss turned her hand to interior design.

Speaking of Miss Moss, I’ll leave you with this pic of Kate climbing out of the Thames (she was filming the new Ab Fab movie), because why not? It doesn’t get much more London, much more ridiculous/fabulous or much more fashion than that.
