Welcome to August's monthly musings. It's our birthday month and amongst lots of crazy biz travel we're going to be celebrating with you guys. Keep your eyes peeled on our social channels for the latest.
August....
What a whirlwind these past few weeks have been, but, before I drill into all the exciting things that have happened and are happening, it's Happy Birthday to us. Yes AA is celebrating 21 years this month. I can hardly believe it and to celebrate we have so many exciting things happening.
From taking Style Surgery on the road (I could be rocking up at your house) stay tuned to Insta for how to win that, to exciting drops, even more exciting comps and a new strand highlighting my weekly obsessions on social from pantry staples (Lions Mane latte anyone) to fashion must haves (shearling clogs) to beauty products that I can’t live without.
Wishing you all the loveliest of Summers, we've actually had a bout of good weather here in the UK (although it may not last long), I hope you get to take some time with your friends and family and enjoy some al fresco living. With August being such a holiday month, wherever you may be enjoy and happy holidays.
Biz Travels
Decor & Design, Melbourne, Australia
One of the highlights of my year so far was to be invited to give a keynote speech in Melbourne, celebrating the 20th Anniversary of Décor + Design Australia’s premier design industry event. The theme of my keynote was how to create extraordinary interiors. So we all buckled up as I gave everyone a crash course, walking through every room in the house from bathrooms to bedrooms, focusing on finishing touches, lighting, scent, scale and pattern and texture.
After the show, I got a little time to investigate this food loving city with its hidden laneways, beautiful botanical gardens, and wonderful coffee houses. Some of my favourite areas and streets include Little Bourke, Fritzroy, Flinders Lane and strolls along the Yarra.
Chi Chi, Melbourne, Australia.
We ate some incredible food at Chi Chi which was one of my faves, serving up some really fabulous Asian food, every coffee was amazing from the tiniest cafes to fabulous brunch spots. We had breakfast at Higher Ground where you can choose from chilli scrambled eggs, blueberry and ricotta hotcakes or as I had a coconut and chia bircher – delish.
Downtime
Any downtime has seen me garden side, even with the weather not being that great I just relish being outdoors with the garden lights on, firing up the Big Green Egg and generally pottering. Oh have you seen our Tawny LED Candles? I have them everywhere and when daylight gently fades to dusk they light the garden up magically.
