Monthly Musings...
December

Welcome to December's monthly musings. We're now knee deep in snuggly season and I'm loving it. The cosy elements, extra layers and warm lighting. I'm prepping hard for hosting too, take a peek at my recipes, one's I'm ditching and ones that have made it through the selection process.

Organic Wines

December...

Yay hay it's holiday season and I’m fully embracing it. Every evening I light candles inside and out, turn on my soft glow portables and create a sense of cosiness through the magical power of lighting.

I’m working my way through defining the Christmas menu there is a lot of testing going on in chez AA. I’ve binned the polenta and parmesan roast spuds too dry, ditched the spiced squash, clementine and bulgur Christmas salad – too bland. What I can of course rely on is our recently launched celebatory selection of new wines. Grown and bottled in the Colli Piacentini region of Emilia-Romagna Italy they are all made from a variety of delicious and rare grapes. Unfiltered with no sulphites this is organic wine at its finest!

I hope in amongst the craziness of the season you are all getting a bit of down time. A really heart felt thank you for following, buying, being part of this fabulous AA community. Without you none of this would even be possible and I am so grateful and feel so very blessed at what we have created together. Thank you again

Happy Holidays.

Christmas 2024 - Abigail Ahern

What's Going On

at Abigail Ahern

It’s the busiest time of year for the biz (with the holidays fast approaching the warehouse team are under the pump getting everything packed, sorted and delivered on time). At the very same time we launch SS25 to all our wholesalers in the States so I am flitting between seasons like no tomorrow.

I’ve been putting together my gifts and here’s what I’m wrapping up for the fam!For my mother who recently broke her hip some super cosy textiles like our Wilson Grey Velvet Cushion. For my father who at the age of 89 doesn’t and won’t wear glasses our portable Cecily in a new shiny finish (it lands super soon and is easy to carry all over the place highlighting pages from his beloved Economist). For my two sisters an Oud and smoke scented candle and a Marilla Vase.

Are you still ticking friends and family off your list? If so you may find my gift guides quite helpful, we've put together some ideas from gifts for your host to the design lover, and if you're still stuck, our e-gift cards are a no brainer.

My Christmas Menu

For a while now I've been testing recipes to serve on the big day. There have been some disasters but I've now decided on my faves, all accompanied by our own brand Italian natural & organic wine of course and topped off with a cheese board from Neal's Yard. What do you think?

Beetroot & Juniper Glazed Salmon by Donna Hay

Pickled Beetroot, Radicchio & Goats Cheese Salad

Ottolenghi’s Roasted Baby Carrots with Harissa and Pomegranate

Lemon Zest Roast Potatoes by Anna Jones

I've popped all of the recipes in one place.

Fashion Fix

In my November musings, I mentioned my current fave site called AndBloom. I adore Dee's style and have already have a couple of her shaggy coats, but am now coveting another (I can't resist!) the Artic Noir coat (so cool) and the most fabulous bag on the planet by Russell Russell, another brand I'm also loving.
